The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT Unhas) is dedicated to enhancing research quality, particularly in civil infrastructure, through collaborations with Japanese universities. During an academic visit to Tokyo in November 2023, the FT Unhas delegation, led by Prof. M. Isran Ramli (Dean of FT Unhas), and Dr.Eng. Bambang Bakri (Secretary of the Department of Civil Engineering), successfully expanded cooperation with Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan (TMU-Japan). This collaboration focuses on Water Resources Engineering and extends to the field of Transportation Engineering. The parties signed an Implementation of Agreement (IoA) document, strengthening the tridarma of higher education cooperation. Prof. M. Isran Ramli also held a bilateral meeting with Prof. Hiroyuki Oneyama from TMU-Japan to discuss research collaboration proposals, aiming to address transportation/traffic congestion issues in developing countries, particularly in Indonesia. This visit follows up on the Memorandum of Agreement signed by the Deans of FT Unhas and the Faculty of Urban Environmental Science, TMU-Japan, in August 2023.
